Pictures from Smallbean: Tanzania

Photos from the Citizen Archivist Project pilot (click "Read More" below to view the pictures).

On Friday Feb. 5, 2010, Tanzanian students participating in the Citizens Archivist Project (CAP) took photographs, conducted interviews, and made short movies documenting community life in Kwala, Tanzania. Despite the fact that the students had been using the equipment for less than a week, they did an amazing job. All of the photos in this section were taken by Kwala Secondary School students participating in the CAP pilot. Click on "Citizens Archivist Project" to learn more about this program. We apologize for the resolution of some of the photographs. The internet connection in Kwala is still a bit limited. Higher resolution photos will be posted upon the return of Team Smallbean from Tanzania.

Smallbean works with the people of Kwala and the Newton-Tanzanian Collaborative to construct a computer lab.
