Photos of Team Smallbean in action!

Team Smallbean on the ground in Kwala

The following photos document some of what Team Smallbean has been up to in Kwala over the last week. We apologize for the resolution of the photos, but internet is limited in Kwala. However, we think these photos have plenty of pixels to get you excited about just some of the great work that Smallbean has been up to in Kwala.

This photo shows the assembled solar panel on our first day in Kwala. Pictured (from left to right) are the NTC Tanzanian representative at the school, Omari (the newest member of Team Smeallbean!), Hassan (one of the star students in our Citizen Archivist Project class), and the Headmaster of the Kwala Secondary School.

This picture shows the Kwala train station. It was built by the Germans in the early 1900's. We did a CAP interview of the stationmaster. The interview was conducted in Swahili by Omari with Tristan and Sean assisting in the photographing and audio recording of the interview.

A picture of Heather, Omari and the nurse that we interviewed (along with one of two doctors in town) at the medical clinic. The photo is taken inside the medical clinic in Kwala. The building has no electricity and could be a potential future solar project!

A shot of Heather and some students in the outside area at the school where we've been working before construction on the computer lab is complete.

A shot of the students carrying the computer cabinent into the new computer lab.

Students cleaning the new computer lab.
